Baba Ramdev Yoga for Acidity and Hyperacidity

Health News:In the modern day due to unhealthy eating habits a person tends to suffer from various diseases. The diseases depend on what kind of pain the body experiences. One such disease is acidity. When this condition reaches to its extreme, it’s known as hyperacidity.

Causes for acidity |Hyperacidity

Some of the common causes of acidity are Obesity and wrong diet, low consumption of food, eating at odd hours, insufficient exercise, tobacco, and smoking. Sometimes it’s also caused by excess drinking of tea and coffee.

Symptoms of acidity

Acidity is one of the most painful diseases and some of the symptoms of hyperacidity are burning sensation in heart, nausea, vomiting. In extreme case one might even experience blood vomits. Sometimes the pain starts on empty stomach and in some cases after the food is taken.

Yoga for Acidity and Hyperacidity

Fortunately Swami Ramdev Baba has suggested much yoga for acidity. Some of the yoga of Baba Ramdev for acidity and Hyperacidity are:-

Bhastrika Pranayama:

Sit in the lotus pose, take deep breath in and breathe out the air completely. Do this for about 2 minutes to 5 minutes max. Along with providing relief from acidity, few other benefits of Bhastrika are curing of thyroid, tonsils etc.

Sheetali Pranayama:

Sit in the Padma Asana or Vajra Asana. Protrude the tongue and try rolling it sideways till it takes shape of a pipe. Now suck air and keep air in lungs as long as possible. Exhale through both nostrils. Along with being a treatment of acidity it provides immediate relief from acidity too.



Shitkari Pranayama:

While sitting in the Padma Asana roll the tongue in such a way that the tip will be in contact with the upper palate while the middle part touches the lips. Suck air with an audible sound (Si-si-Shh) and retain air in lungs as much as possible.

There are many benefits of pranayam and yoga provided one does them correctly and in the right time. Along with treatment they help in weight reduction and so help us get rid of obesity. Hope you found this article useful.
